The process of Addiction, Recovery,
and Transformation is a complex, often frustrating experience, demanding an understanding that at first seems impossible to
achieve.
The ART of Living Life will focus on a set of Principles, spiritual in their nature, which if practiced
as a way of life can and will enable the sufferer to become happily and usefully whole.
When an individual has
acknowledged, accepted, and acted upon the substance of their addiction, then and only then, can that person begin the reconstruction
of their life.
The foundation of human life is centered on three basic elements: Physical, Mental and Emotional.
These three elements are controlled by our natural instincts but, recovering persons come face to face with the reality that
their instincts often exceed their proper function. These instincts, sex, security and society come to dominate their lives;
they drive them and insist upon ruling their lives.
While Alcoholism/Addiction and other adversities are generally
accepted as illnesses, many recovering persons have difficulty in comprehending that these illnesses are best defined as spiritual
maladies. Most understand the physical ramifications, are aware of the mental obsessions, but lack a clear understanding of
their emotional problems.
Many people who practice spiritual principles rooted in Honesty-Humility-Helpfulness
have found a simple way to meet life's difficulties. They lead happy and productive lives.
The ART of Living Life
will assist each person to focus on their ability to live, to love, and be happy. Understanding is the key to right principles
and attitudes and right action is the key to good living. Therefore the key to happiness is to be at peace with oneself and
those around us.
